Wow. Who’d have thunk it?
We’ve been shortlisted in Small Business of the Year category at the Inspire Business Awards 2020! We’re in some fine company – with some of the biggest and brightest businesses in the Hampshire area. So frankly we’re absolutely stoked to be mentioned in the same breath as these great companies.
We’ve written in the past about why we’ve entered awards as a business (both as Apps in the Sky and now Apptaura). And we’ll admit it. We like an excuse to get dressed up to the nines, grab a bottle of something bubbly and have a great time meeting up with other local businesses. Sometimes we even win. Which is pretty ace.
But one thing that writing award submissions makes you do is look back on the year that you have had. Sometimes, especially in a small company you don’t have the time to do that. Awards submissions force you to look back. And so often when you do, the successes start to stand out.
The last few weeks we’ve been looking back, both individually and as a team. And when we cast a critical eye over the projects we’ve worked on and delivered it’s been incredible what we’ve achieved (despite 2020 being… well 2020ish).
Looking back might also help light the way forward. One of our clients has seen a 654% quarterly increase in the use of the app we built for them. An app built to cut down on business travel and reduce the time their staff had to spend on projects which has proved to be an invaluable tool when business travel became impossible. We knew more people were using it. But if we hadn’t taken the time to really look into it, we might not have realised just how successful it has been.
Humblebrag over. Catch all you other nominees at the virtual awards ceremony!
And hit us up if you need an app.
